Antonio Broccoli Porto, born on Sept. 19th in New York City, and graduated with a B.A. in Arts from Iona College, New Rochelle. He studied under Watercolorist Anne Therese Dillen, Seriographist Eric Lluch,( Apprentice to Andy Warhol) , Dr. Oracio Rodriguez for Anatomy and life drawing, Master Sculptor, and Josˇ Garcia Campos for Metal Sculpture. He continued his art studies at the Pinacoteca di Brera, Milan, Italy and furthered his studies in Puerto Rico at Escuela de Artes Plasticas and La Liga de Estudiantes de Arte in Old San Juan, where he now practices his art full time. Mr Broccoli Porto is an active member of Asociaci—n de Acuarelistas de Puerto Rico (Association of Watercolorist of Puerto Rico) an UNESCO of Puerto Rico.

His style has been described by the critics as lush in his use of colors and shapes, his works possessing a feeling of decadence...nature in all its beauty gone wild and uncontrolled.

His first One Man Show was at the Thomas Payne Museum in New Rochelle, New York, May 79, as part of a Nationally accredited Honors Program Thesis entiltled "Historical Landscapes". From that time on he exhibited throughout the USA, Canada and Europe, mostly in painting competitions. His works can be found in various public collections, including, Puerto Rico Tourism Bureau, San Juan, P.R., Museo del Ni–o, (Children's Museum) Old San Juan, San Francisco Church, Old San Juan, R-G Financial Heasdquarters in Hato Rey, PR, Carnegie Library of Old San Juan, PR, and most recently El Museo de Nuestras Raices Africanas( Museum of Our African Roots), Old San Juan, PR. Antonio's paintings and sculpture were featured at the inauguration of the new museum, El Museo de Aguadilla y el Caribe, in May 2000.

Mr. Broccoli Porto was commissioned for the Caribbean Version set and costume design of Midsummer's Night Dream by William Shakespeare, presented in Spanish at Bellas Artes Theatro de Guaynabo, in June of 1999.

Among private collections: Puerto Rican Singer, Ruth Fernandez, Actress and Singer Jennifer Lopez, Italian Singer Laura Pausini, First Lady of Puerto Rico, Maga Rosello and Giorgio Starassoldo Graffenberg of Strassoldo, Italy.
